Lowry Mall, MU Campus (some time ago)
I had to reach into the archives to find this image. This was what Lowry Mall, on the MU campus, looked like during the rainy summer of 1997. Long before University Bookstore had a strangling hegemony on campus book sales, a second option called Missouri Bookstore existed. It was on Lowry Mall, right next to McDonalds. They mysteriously lost their lease a couple years later and were forced to leave...much to the delight of the forces that inhabited University Bookstore. It was a nice place to get a bagel and sit in the sun between classes. In the background is the tower of Jesse Hall, enshrouded in scaffolding.

Column
A winter storm on the Francis Quadrangle. Love or hate them, it is hard to photograph the columns in a non-postcard fashion. This is an attempt.

Ellis Library, MU Campus
Yet another image from the campus at MU, taken after a late February rainstorm outside the library. This image epitomizes what I am after with night photography, but it is rare that I come across, or see, something like this.
Lowery Mall, MU
I am starting my blog with this photograph taken on the campus at MU in order to set the tone of the forthcoming posts. This blog will function as a personal, nocturnal study of my city at night, Columbia, Missouri.
